Pastor of First Baptist Church of Harper

Pastor Steve Williams is the pastor to First Baptist Church Harper.

Pastor Steve Williams, who is the second of four boys, had the great fortune of being born in the great state of Texas, where he has lived most of his life. He has the privilege of being married to Monica (Kubena) Williams, also from Texas, and together they have served the Lord for over 40 years in various ministries and pastorates in Texas, Iowa, & Illinois.

One of Pastor Steve’s favorite verses is John 10:10, Where Jesus says “I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly”

“During our worship services, I strive to share the truths from God’s Word, so that we all might experience the “More abundant Life” that the Lord has to offer all of those, who choose to trust & follow after Him!”

“I believe the church should be a place where people can find encouragement as they seek to follow God’s will for their lives. Not only is the church a place where people can find comfort in times of sorrow, grief, or adversity, but it is also a place where we all can share in the joy of what the Lord is doing in our midst.”
